The First Annual Meeting of the Taiwan Extracellular Vesicle Medical Development Association (TEMPA)
The inaugural TEMPA Annual Meeting has successfully concluded. I was deeply moved by the presence of distinguished guests from industry, government, and academia, as well as the enthusiastic discussions throughout the event. I would like to share a message I delivered to our members, hoping it resonates with all of you.
Message from the President of TEMPA
With the rapid advancements in regenerative medicine and precision healthcare, extracellular vesicles (EVs) have emerged as a groundbreaking field in biotechnology, offering extraordinary potential and limitless possibilities for applications. Taiwan, with its strong foundation and competitive edge in biomedical science, holds great promise. However, excelling in a fiercely competitive global arena requires establishing robust mechanisms for collaboration among industry, government, academia, and research institutions. It is imperative to create regulatory frameworks, enhance technological capacity, elevate the quality of clinical applications, and foster a trusted Taiwanese brand recognized worldwide.
To this end, the Taiwan Extracellular Vesicle Medical Development Association (TEMPA) was established to unite the strengths of industry, academia, and the medical community in advancing EV medicine. Our mission is threefold:
1. To promote breakthroughs in scientific research and standardize clinical applications.
2. To build a platform for international and domestic collaboration and exchange.
3. To establish globally recognized technical standards and ethical guidelines, enhancing Taiwan’s international competitiveness.
We believe that through the association’s concerted efforts, we can not only elevate the quality of EV medicine in Taiwan but also position the nation as a pivotal player in this emerging field.
Looking to the future, our vision is for TEMPA to become a professional organization defined by innovation, quality, and trust. By driving technological translation, accelerating clinical applications, and cultivating opportunities for global development, we aim to shape a new paradigm in international medicine. I warmly invite colleagues across sectors to join us in creating limitless possibilities for the future of EV medicine in Taiwan, establishing a new global standard for excellence in healthcare.
Sincerely,
Yu-Hung Tseng
President, Taiwan Extracellular Vesicle Medical Development Association
